If the Marketing Department from Sony (Computer Entertainment) is still in search for a cool and catchy name for their 2017's PlayStation 4 model with better and newer Hardware - released at the end of October 2017 - I would release it as the:
- PlayStation 4K
- PS4K
- For (internal) Differentiation you could add the K letter at the end of every SKU model description, like CUH-14xxAK
- Not allowed to use the official 4K logo together with the PlayStation, PlayStation 4, PS4 logo to avoid misunderstandings against the competition, but using your own "PS4-font" and displaying the letter K in bold would be already enough to sell this as a new console (but you can use the official 4K logo together with the Blu-ray/DVD/Dolby/DTS logos as small symbols on the device itself, as you already did with the normal PS4)
- It would sound familiar even to those people without any 4K experience because a console called "Xbox One 4K" or "XB1K" sounds confusing and wouldn't fit anyway so catchy compared to the PS4K :)
- So you force them to use such a boring addition like "Xbox One+" or "Xbox One Premium" (if they want to stay in competition)
- Which they will do if you add not only HDMI 2.0, but more like a more-powerful CPU/GPU with advantages not only for 4K movie playback, but also for actual Games in 1080p and for the whole Device in general (so a Firmware-Update won't be enough to enable 4K/30p only)
- Consumer-friendly name because if a consumer knows that both new consoles will support 4K, he will decide for the PS4K because he can be sure that there is 4K inside
- The same applies when a consumer has no clue about 4K and wants to find out which console is 4K-capable - no matter if he searches at his/her retailer or using Google - he will first find results about the newer PS4
- Strong price tag against the competition (max. 50,- USD/EUR more expensive than the older PS4)
- So you can sell both and after a year you can remove the older PS4 and selling the newer one only for the same cheap price as the older was
- And after two years you can make a official price reduction again

sprained my wrist during work. No wiki and IRC, sorry Roxanne (talk) (actually it's a broken wrist. 4 until 6 weeks only partial reachable #FuckMyLife) - Now they say it's not broken but a cyst. But they don't know why there is this cyst amd why I have this pain on my left wrist. They say they can't explain this and that they are clueless. Also they say that this was a incidental finding and this happened never before. It looks like in those House M.D. episodes where Greg needs 3 false investigations before he knows why the patient is diseased :P - Third diagnosis say it's a tumor. Not a tumor anymore. Just need to rest for 4 weeks.

- Thanks but it seems that mine will take way more longer, combined with a surgery. (Funny) fact is that they will need to drill inside in my left hand to look what's there inside. Then I need to rest and only right after that (not before), they can do whatever they need to do so that I have no pain anymore and I can use my hand normally as before. So this could take between until the end of March 2016 or until infinity which would mean that I will lose my left hand for the rest of my life. Roxanne (talk) - 15th December 2015 - 20:07 GMT+1
