Overview

All of these are 4-channel BTL drivers, driving the spindle motor, sled motor, focus coil and tracking coil. The inputs are driven by the DSP.

They naturally run relatively warm (hence the large ground pads for heatsinking), but should never get too hot to touch (->IC or something connected to it is probably defective or shorted). All of these have thermal shutdown as a safety feature.

For the Rohm ICs, datasheets are available online.
