== ps3 80gb remarry with new logic board key chip was destroyed?? ==
I am a total noob to this type of fix but I do have electronics background. what I want to know if somebody could explain it to me in laymen's terms. what type of jigs/dongles or what do I need to remarry my new logic board with the mother board. as stated the original key chip was destroyed. I like trying to figure these type of things out but all of you talk a language that I some what understand.also I have other ps3s but this is like a challenge to see if I can do it with the help of all of you. my system is a cheche01 80gb running 4.61 or whatever the latest firmware is. so any info would be great. e-mail me at [email protected] Thank you!!
You need a PSgrade/JIG, like listed here : http://www.psdevwiki.com/ps3/Talk:Downgrading_with_PSgrade_Dongle
that will enable it into service mode on 3.55 firmware - so if it is now on 4.xx you also need a hardware flasher to first downgrade the console to 3.55.
