Regioning
This whole list and above tables were copied from http://www.edepot.com/playstation3.html Apparently, violating the copyright on the edepot.com site. Also, after copying, this wiki makes it gnu license (like stealing someone's work and then removing the author). Can you guys stop copying? Even the power supply, harddrive, everything on this site copies the tables directly, even the column locations. The PS3 Secrets site is not gnu license. It even says DONT copy right in the intro. Here is what you can do. Don't copy, and provide a link to the source. If you can't do your own work, don't steal.

Differences between the 1000 and 1400:
- On the DECR1400 you cannot use: Performance monitoring functions (libperf, libprof, tuner for PS3)
- for SPU: PC sampling, Performance counters, Bookmark, RAW SPU support
- for RSX: Signal Trace, User Events.
- DECI3 is limited to one protocol and a data exchange size of 65535 bytes.
- The two GbLAN´s share the same MAC ID and cannot be used in the same network segment.
- In the 1000, the GbLAN DEVLAN is connected to the Communication Processor, in the 1400 it is connected to SouthBridge.
- With a pre 0.85 bootrom you do have two HDMI outputs.
Unproven and perhaps just wiki vandalism with wrong information:
- The 1000 could be turned into a System Debugger by changing the southbridge firmware and using a special system firmware; this allows Sony to debug the whole chain of trust, even though it needs to connect on every startup to the SCEI Headquarter Servers.
