The only PS2 model released on the Chinese market, available from December 20th, 2003, for a price of RMB 1988. It's always a satin silver fat H- (and/or I-) chassis console. It has it's own dedicated game region ("NTSC-C") rather than the NTSC-J region that is used on the other Asian PS2 consoles (Korea, Hong Kong, Taiwan). The DVD region code is 6, which is also a dedicated China-only DVD region code. As another specialty, it is the only retail PS2 console to have a third ROM(-section) other than BOOT and DVD, which contains a Chinese character set.
