The table shows the PS3 models ordered chronologically and based on the time when the console was manufactured (aka [[datecode|Manufacturing Date]], or [[datecode|DateCode]])

The release date is when each PS3 model was available in shops for the different world [[SKU_Regioning|regions]] and that date could be bigger than its [[datecode|Manufacturing Date]] (available in shops some weeks or months after manufactured). The red cells are a roughtly approximation of the date when this PS3 model entered in mass production, is based in the oldest datecodes reported by owners of this PS3 model in internet

In the practise most probably the end dates matches with the start dates of the next model, to avoid manufacturing different models in the same factory. I just noticed an interesting detail about ps3 fat models letters. I noticed time ago, but I'm counting them and it matches fine.
The point is ps3 fat models are "1000 series" internally are named starting with 1000

so... CECHCxx and CECHExx (with COK-002)... are "1100 series"
