You have some idea when/why/how the header color of the default class="wikitable" has changed to white ?

Some months ago the header of the tables (the rows starting with ! character) was blue to keep some consistency of colors with the templates used on main wiki page

Now with the tables in full white looks cheaper, is a small detail, but if there is no reason for the change i think is good to return to the previous look, also i guess is posible other default settings we was using for wikitables has been lost too the same day the color of the headers changed

If i remember correctlly the settings we was using was not the defaults, it was changed several times by eussNL when we was discussing about wiki styles and consistency of colors. So is posible that an update of the mediawiki version has updated/overwrited them

The same problem happens in PS4 wiki


It's very likely that this is because of a new update from the MediaWiki, which defyboy installed after the massive Spam deletion and after the wiki was down several times. But you can change the colors easily like you can see it now on this page on the table above :) I think you mean the color #B3B7FF like in "for bootable content" and for the right side of the table. - Roxanne.

So the problem appeared when updating wiki, i see. Adding the color individually for every table is a noway, are hundred of tables affected included all the tables in PS4 wiki, so the only way to solve it in a good way is by finding where are stored that settings and try to see if we can change otherway ask defyboy to change it. The headers color was a light blue, more like #ddddff or #eeeeff

I'm not 100% sure if this happend because of a update from MediaWiki but as far as I know there were some [http://www.psdevwiki.com/ps3/Special:Version updates] before and also after the new captcha system was implemented on both wikis. As far as I see this, you need to change such settings on root and only defyboy and eussNL have such access, but I will inform defyboy about this topic.

I reverted your edit in [[Template:latestPS5]] because i added the link in the [[Template:News]], also because is better to keep that templates the most simples posible, this way can be created other templates (if needed) to add more addons, e.g: <nowiki>[[{{latestPS3}}_CEX|{{latestPS3}}]]</nowiki> and call it <nowiki>[[Template:latestPS3wikipage]]</nowiki> (resulting in a internal link to page: [[4.88_CEX|4.88]]), or <nowiki><abbr title="latest version {{latestPS3}}">{{latestPS3}}</abbr></nowiki> and call it <nowiki>[[Template:latestPS3abbr]]</nowiki> (this is what the old <nowiki>[[Template:latest]]</nowiki> was doing, but that "abbr" should be considered a non-generic addon, and this kind of template with addons should be build "on top" of the basic <nowiki>[[Template:latestPS3]]</nowiki> and using a name derivated from it). Actually, when i was replacing the old <nowiki>[[Template:latest]]</nowiki> by the new <nowiki>[[Template:latestPS3]]</nowiki> in other pages i realized there was some that was using it that way. Returning to the [[Template:News]] changes... now the images have a link+description and the numbers have the link only, we could add the description to the numbers too with a <nowiki><abbr></nowiki> but this displays some dots at bottom that looks a bit weird, all and all the only flaw of the new firmware info boxes is that there is a "no clickable area" in between the image and the numbers but this is a very tricky problem. I been googling a bit and wikipedia have a template named literally [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Template:Clickable_button Clickable button] but i went lost trying to figure how they did it, the current design we are using is open for that kind of improvements if some of you wants to play around with it and finds how to improve it go for it, after all i have not changed it much visually, is the same concept you did initially and i liked it. Btw, the same can be made in PS4 wiki and the other day i was reading about a tricky mediawiki feature that could be convenient for this case, is like a page transclusion from external wikis but the wiki that loads the page from the other wiki is updated with the page content of the other (it does a "copypaste" of the other page, i guess only if they differs), we could do that in between PS3 and PS4 wiki domains (not sure if also with the others). Last detail that worths to be mentioned is that it could be awesome if we find how to use this special transclusions to "grab" the firmware numbers from the the sony servers links and update the [[Template:latestPS5]], [[Template:latestPS4]], [[Template:latestPS3]], [[Template:latestPSV]], [[Template:latestPSP]] automatically with them, this way sony would be updating wiki on real time, ironic and awesome feature, or alternativelly, maybe we can grab them from a page in wikipedia or... dunno--[[User:Sandungas|Sandungas]] ([[User talk:Sandungas|talk]]) 12:07, 14 July 2021 (UTC)
