*Welcome to the kiwi, there are some things that requires your attention (like the long time broken [https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:SyntaxHighlight syntaxhighlight+pygments] extension), but the first couple of things i would like to comment are the removal of the [https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:Contribution_Scores Contribution Scores] extension and the latest user right changes. I would like the contribution scores extension to be installed again because is the better way to show a proof of how much time and effort some of us dedicated to build the wiki as it is. Also, i think some of the latest user right changes was not needed because they broke the status quo, and/or could be considered offensive, some of them could fit in the new "VIP" user group but there are others not in the VIP group that deserves to be given at least the "trusted" status, or create a new group for them like "researchers", "pioneers", "oracles", "genius", "overlords" or whatever (it doesnt neds to be humoristic but i hope you get the point, his contributions are unique because they moved the scene forward)--[[User:Sandungas|Sandungas]] ([[User talk:Sandungas|talk]]) 01:14, 23 March 2023 (CET)

**Howdy! Thanks for the welcome. I've been around a while with a rare edit here or there, but I'm glad I was entrusted to help fix up and maintain the site. I'm trying my best to prioritize security and making the best experience for editors, readers, and moderators. We haven't really made any announcements yet because I want to hit a certain level of security and polish first. I was planning on reaching out to you directly for input as well, since you're definitely one of the top guys here. Regarding your comments:
*** I totally overlooked turning ContributionScores back on when upgrading the wiki! I've re-enabled it just now and added it to the sidebar.
*** I've added SyntaxHighlight to the todo list. I plan on adding some other userful extensions like Native SVG Handler, Visual Editor, BacktickCode, and DarkMode (hacked up to work like on ConsoleMods.org). And fixing the long-broken CAPTCHA for new accounts.
*** I'm working through user rights adjustments with Roxanne. Some of the roles will be absorbed into others and disappear. Primarily, the re-org is for the Moderation queue extension and to reduce the amount of accounts with access to Administrator rights since quite a few of them haven't been used in years and it's possible they used old compromised passwords that they used on other sites. VIP was meant to be a vanity role just for Greg/Troy/Euss. I don't mean to rock the boat or anything!
*** Let me know if you have suggestions for Trusted (or any of the roles). The trusted role just bypasses the moderation queue so active people don't keep hitting that roadblock. Maybe it'd be best to add anyone with a significant amount of edits (20+?).
*** Are you on Discord? I'm revamping the [https://discord.gg/K7fjFt3 devwiki discord] (also just added hat to the sidebar). I added a new moderator channel I can add you to.

Wiki manteinance feedback

  • Welcome to the kiwi, there are some things that requires your attention (like the long time broken syntaxhighlight+pygments extension), but the first couple of things i would like to comment are the removal of the Contribution Scores extension and the latest user right changes. I would like the contribution scores extension to be installed again because is the better way to show a proof of how much time and effort some of us dedicated to build the wiki as it is. Also, i think some of the latest user right changes was not needed because they broke the status quo, and/or could be considered offensive, some of them could fit in the new "VIP" user group but there are others not in the VIP group that deserves to be given at least the "trusted" status, or create a new group for them like "researchers", "pioneers", "oracles", "genius", "overlords" or whatever (it doesnt neds to be humoristic but i hope you get the point, his contributions are unique because they moved the scene forward)--Sandungas (talk) 01:14, 23 March 2023 (CET)
