== What needs to be done when a new [[System Firmware]] gets released? ==
* Edit [[Template:Software]] and add a new [[System Firmware]] (don't forget separating multiple [[System Firmware|System Firmwares]] with a "{{widedot}}" (<nowiki>{{widedot}}</nowiki>)
* Create this new Page, based on your previous edit from [[Template:Software]]
* Add all necesarry Information like...
** ''(Un)Official Changelogs''
** ''Version'' (based on '''version'''="00.000.000" from [[Ps4-updatelist.xml]] - not to be confused with '''sdk_version'''="00.000.000")
** ''Releasedate'' (based on "Folder structure" through the Direct Link from [[Ps4-updatelist.xml]] or from the Release Date ???)
** ''Age'' (see ''Releasedate'')
** ''Size'' (from '''image size'''="1" - it's in Bytes (B) by the way so when it's downloaded, it can be cross-checked from the "Properties" through the Windows-Explorer for Example)
** Checksums for SHA1, SHA256, SHA384, SHA512, MD5, MD4, MD2, CRC32, CRC16 (and hmacsha1 ???) using [http://fsumfe.sourceforge.net/ Fsum Frontend]
** Adding a Link from the US PlayStation Blog regarding the Blogpost about the newest [[System Firmware]] (What if there isn't such a Blogpost ???)
** Making a Backup from the newest [[Ps4-updatelist.xml]] on http://pastie.org with "HTML / XML" Language and adding it as a comment at the end
** PS4UPDATE.PUP (Disc) ???
* Edit [[Ps4-updatelist.xml]] (look to it that you add the tab stops correctly during wikify)
* Edit [[Datecode]] (use abbreviations (<nowiki><abbr title="On their servers since Month Day">(0.000.000)</abbr></nowiki>) when a [[System Firmware]] gets on another month released compared to the date when the file is stored on their servers)
* Edit [[Internet Browser#User Agents]]
* Edit [[Online Connections#Useragent of applications under "TV & Video"]]
* Edit [[News]] & [[News/Archive]] (don't forget the remove the oldest novelty from the [[News]] page since it allows only the 4 latest [[News]] - check the "Adding an item" section on the [[News]] page for more information)
* Upload a mirror on MEGA (a registered Account is recommended)
'''Protip: Wait with the editing when the newest [[System Firmware]] is released and don't add something before when there are already rumors about a new [[System Firmware]]. The build number can change until final release and so you would be forced to re-direct and re-edit several pages (Example: When there are rumors about the newest [[System Firmware]] 9.99, it could be released as 9.990.'''000''' but it could be also released as 9.990.'''999'''). When there is an early Beta [[System Firmware]] released, there is a high chance that the final version will have a higher build number. Such Beta Versions can also have hidden "UnOfficial Changelogs" and those hidden functions are welcome in such Discussions like at reddit for example (which can be added as a source).'''
== UHDBD Final Specifications ==
* 3840x2160 px
* 1920x1080 px
* 23.976p, 24p, 25p, 50p, 59.94p, 60p (HFR)
* HEVC MPEG-5
* up to 100 Mbps (128 Mbps was also possible as shown from Panasonic) <!--// it says "up" to 100 Mbps so it can be even the same rate as on normal BDMV and you don't need to be worried about that a 180 min movie won't fit on a 100 GB Disc. There are movies which don't even reach the 50 GB (44.8 GB) mark. Best example is, create a 180 min movie in 3840x2160 px and 60 fps but showing only a black screen and then create a normal movie with the same settings. Dark scenes doesn't need 100 Mbps since it's less colors than normal and this means automaticlly that the filesize will be less. There are also a lot of other things to be considered but this would take too long. Also those rumors were a UHD movie will take 300 GB were from 2013. Yes, Sony and Panasonics still plans to release 300 GB Discs but this is for the professional and medical market and not for retail (same as they did with the "Professional Blu-ray" release. //-->
* BT.709, P3, BT.2020 color space
* 4:2:0 chroma sub-sampling
* SMPTE 2084 10-bit HDR
* 700 – 1000 Nit
* Dolby Vision and Philips HDR is planned but for a later release
* New HDMI cables will be released for the highest settings. It has even his own certification and licensing called "HDMI Premium" <!--// since they need new money :) //-->
* 66 GB (2-layers) up to 100 GB (3-layers) <!--// this doesn't mean that you can work with your current BDXL Drives - also there is still nothing about the File system known so please don't raise your BDXL Drives because there are already other people who got their hands in these long before someone talked about UHD and BDXL (as you can find those people here in this wiki too if you check their User pages like from Ada, eussNL or my humble self. //-->
* Dolby Atmos (and the old ones like Dolby TrueHD and Dolby Digital of course too)
* DTS:X (and the old ones like DTS-HD (MA) and DTS of course too)
* 8-Channel LPCM (testing with Auro-3D supports via LPCM)
* HDCP 2.2 (if Hardware doesn't support it = Downgrade Resolution to 1920x1080 px)
* No 3D support <!--// and that's a good thing //-->
* Region Free <!--// yes you read it right //-->
* License support begins on 1st July (planned) - Started for TV manufactures with the UHD logo beginning from September 2015
* First Consumer Hardware shown at IFA 2015 but mainly planned at CES 2016 (6th - 9th January)
* First Consumer Hardware for sale before ???
** Samsung UBD-K8500 (>2016)
** Panasonic DMR-UBZ1 (15th November 2015 (Japan))
* First Titles
** Kingsman: The Secret Service, Exodus: Gods and Kings, Fantastic Four, X-Men: Days of Future Past, Life of Pi, The Maze Runner and Wild (somewhere in 2016 and only 20th Century Fox announced some movies)
* Hardware will be backwards compatible <!--// so long it's not a Sony :) //-->
* Supported Authoring software: Sonic Scenarist 6.1 & Sony Blu-print 6.5 (right now with MPEG-4 - update will follow after final specs)

== You bought a 4C PS4 in 4D / November? ==
http://www.psdevwiki.com/ps4/index.php?title=Datecode&diff=270567&oldid=270564
: Yes, just wanted to edit my own text :) - and it was a bundle released in November with a 4C inside
:: you're still making it more complicated than it is ;) look at sticker, month or datecode -> look at table row, notate the SKU model and initial firmware and in hidden comments from who //the end// the reason we do generally don't notate when bought is because every single shop has different stockmanagement. Stickers as well as facts (first boot) do not change. [[User:Euss|Euss]] ([[User talk:Euss|talk]]) 15:31, 24 January 2015 (EST)
::: OK then I guess it's just me because I have still problems even with your newest edit. ([[User:Roxanne|Roxanne]] ([[User talk:Roxanne|talk]])
