Some variants came with the IHS glued directly to the die of CELL/BE, using an epoxy resin glue. This glue is much tougher than the previous glue found on earlier models and can easily lead to the die cracking while attempting a delid. Therefore delidding the CELL/BE is not advised on this model.
Additionally to the improvements mentioned for the CECH-25xx... the LAN chip and wifi/BT module are updated, and all the bluray components of course, the whole BD components was revised for CECH-25xx (is not only the BD controller, but also the laser)
In few words, if you compare CECH-25xx with CECH-21xx you have:
-New network components
-New Bluray components
