CTorrentPSP is a torrent bit torrent client created by Danzel. Just as an ordinary bittorrent client would do, it allows the PSP to download and save data that torrents redirect it to.

Development[edit | edit source]

Released on March 18, 2008, CTorrentPSP has been developed for the 2008 Neoflash Coding Contest. So far, the first release is the only release thus far, and it is stable. It is unknown whether or not the homebrew will be worked on or left as it is.

Limitations[edit | edit source]

The amount of limitations amount due to the fact that the PSP cannot handle that much traffic in and over Wifi. Therefore, download and upload speeds are limited severely. Also, CTorrentPSP can only handle one torrent at a time. Also, while overclocked to 333Mhz, the user might be able to download small bits of files such as demos because of the fact that the Wifi card can burn out after extended usage. (This forcing the user to have the PSP without wifi or get a replacement) The last noticeable limitation is that CTorrentPSP can only be ran on the 3.xx kernel, and not on the 1.50 kernel. However, danzel states that you can alter the source code so it can be ran on the 1.50 kernel.
