It seems that on the PS4 there is even less incentive (compared to PS3) to replace the drive for a SSD, best price/performance are still 7200rpm drives. See also here: http://www.pcper.com/reviews/General-Tech/PlayStation-4-PS4-HDD-SSHD-and-SSD-Performance-Testing

2.5" with max height of 9.5mm, minimal storage size 160GB

SSD can also be used, but it is unclear how much the PS4 can benefit from this (comparison of HDD/SSD on PS3 : http://www.gtpla.net/wp-content/uploads/2010/12/Hvx2a.png)

it is unsure if TRIM is enabled by default for UFS on the PS4, but on BSD in general it can be enabled with tune2fs -t enable : http://forums.freebsd.org/showthread.php?t=28004 see also : http://www.wonkity.com/~wblock/docs/html/ssd.html

on the standard 500GB (465.8 GiB) harddrive, there is 408 GB useable for the user, thus 57,8 GB is reserved for the systemfiles/filesystem.
